(From part two) When I speak in public about Bible Prophecy, people often scratch their heads. I’ve even heard people use comebacks like: “anyone can take things from the Bible and make it sound like it’s happened or is happening”. Well, in this Bible Study, we’re going to be going over some things that’ve just happened in the world, that were prophesied over. These last three of ten prophecies have ALL happened within, or began happening in the 1900s. Keep in mind, we have only been out of the 1900s for eleven years now!

8.)Zechariah 8:7-8 I’ll save my people from the countries of the east and the west. I’ll bring them back to live in Jerusalem; they’ll be my people, and I’ll be faithful and righteous to them as their God.

In this prophecy, God spoke through Zechariah about 500 years before Jesus’ birth. God said that he would bring his chosen ones back to the Holy Land of Israel, and since 1967 the numbers have been blossoming in a big way. Not because of birth-rate, but because of people (Jews) moving their families back there. This prophecy has actually been fulfilled more than once. 2,600 years ago, Babylon (Iraq) destroyed Jerusalem and took the Jews as captives. Many Jews later returned. The Jews rebuilt Jerusalem but the city was destroyed again 1,900 years ago by Rome. The Romans killed over a million Jews and forced many more into exile. The Jews didn’t have control of Jerusalem again until 1967 when the Jews recaptured the city during the Six Day War.

9.)Isaiah 51:3 The Lord will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing.

We’ve discussed this previously, but this is yet another time that God spoke, and things happened. With advanced high-tech irrigation methods, Israel has once again blossomed as an agricultural giant.

10.) Isaiah 43:5-6 “Do not be afraid, for I’m with you; I’ll bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I’ll say to the north, `Give them up!’ and to the south, `Don’t hold them back.’ Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth…

We’ve already covered this with another prophecy that is similar. But to close out this three-part piece, I want you to leave with a clear understanding of exactly what this one means…

EAST: Many Jews living in the Middle East moved to Israel by the early 1900s.

WEST: Around the 1950s, hundreds of thousands of Jews living in Europe and the U.S. began moving to Israel.

NORTH: The former Soviet Union (Russia) is north of Israel. It refused to allow its Jewish residents to move to Israel. But, after years of pressure from other countries, Russia finally began to allow Jews to return to Israel during the 1980s. So far, hundreds of thousands of Russian Jews have moved to Israel.

SOUTH: Ethiopia, which is south of Israel, also refused to allow its Jews to return to Israel. But, in 1985, Israel struck a deal with Ethiopia’s communist government to allow the Jews of Ethiopia to move to Israel. On May 25, 1991, 14,500 Ethiopian Jews were airlifted to Israel.

Notice that Isaiah was right about some having to be forced or prodded to allow the Jews return. Also, in the last 100 years, Jews living as far east as China, as far west as the West Coast of the United States, as far north as Scandinavia, and as far south as South Africa, have moved to Israel.

God Bless,

Chris
