100 Bible Prophecies

(From part one) When I speak in public about Bible Prophecy, people often scratch their heads. I’ve even heard people use comebacks like: “anyone can take things from the Bible and make it sound like it’s happened or is happening”. Well, in this Bible Study, we’re going to be going over some things that’ve just happened in the world, that were prophesied over. These last seven of ten prophecies have ALL happened within, or began happening in the 1900s. Keep in mind, we have only been out of the 1900s for eleven years now!

4.) Isaiah 41:18-20 I’ll open up rivers for them on the high plateaus. I’ll give them fountains of water in the valleys. I’ll fill the desert with pools of water. Rivers fed by springs will flow across the parched ground. I’ll plant trees in the barren desert: cedar, acacia, myrtle, olive, cypress, fir, and pine. I’m doing this so all who see this miracle will understand what it means. That it’s the Lord who has done this, the Holy One of Israel who created it.

The essential prophecy here is that trees will once again grow in Israel’s deserts. God, through Isaiah spoke these words 700 years before Jesus was born. In recent years, Israel has formed many high-tech forms of irrigation that have made tree growth in the desert again possible.

5.) Isaiah 27:6 The time is coming when Jacob’s descendants will take root. Israel will bud and blossom and fill the whole earth with fruit!

This prophecy has a literal, and symbolic connotation. The literal, is obvious, as stated in number four, with irrigation methods being what they are, Israel has begun spreading the fruits of its lands to many nations. In a more symbolic tense, Christianity, our Faith, began in Israel and today is the world’s leading religion with roughly 2 BILLION followers worldwide.

6.) Micah 4:1 In the last days, the mountain of the Lord’s house will be the highest of all, the most important place on earth. It’ll be raised above the other hills, and people from all over the world will stream there to worship.

Micah, speaking on God’s behalf spoke these words, that are being fulfilled right now as I speak, 750 years before Jesus’ birth. Jerusalem is, and has been for centuries, the world’s most important religious site. Christians and Jews regard the city as the world’s most important, and Christians and Jews make up about one-third of the world’s population. No other city in the world is, or has ever been a religious focal point to as many people.

7.) Ezekiel 29:15b I will make Egypt so weak that it will never again rule over other nations!

600 years before the birth of Christ, God, through Ezekiel spoke these words into existence. From 1967 to today, it had been fulfilled constantly. Egypt did recover from Babylon’s invasion about 2,600 years ago. From its inception, to the time of Ezekiel, Egypt had been the a dominant power among the nations. However, for most of the last 2,500 years, Egypt has been controlled by other nations (the Romans, Ottomans and Europeans). Today, Egypt is an independent nation again. In 1948, 1967, and 1973 they tried again to dominate and control Israel, but failed miserably even though they are 10 times the size of Israel. This prophecy has held strong, and been proven in the years I just told you, since the days Ezekiel lived.

Stay blessed, and stay tuned for the final three.

Chris
